 ABOUT ME

Alicia was born in San Francisco, CA. She began her training in ballet, jazz, and tap at Susan Hayward School of Dance. She later moved to Charlotte, NC and continued her studies at Charlotte School of Ballet and Piedmont School of Music and Dance. Alicia graduated with honors from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in 2012 while concurrently dancing with Hubbard Street 2. She joined Hubbard Street Dance Chicago as a main company dancer from April 2014-December 2019. In October 2020, Alicia became a founding member of PARA.MAR Dance Theatre under the direction of Stephanie Martinez where she has worn many hats including dancer, company manager, producer, and guest rehearsal director. From September 2021-2023, Alicia joined Gibney Company under the direction of Gilbert T Small II and Gina Gibney and most recently guested with them for their 2024 summer tour.

Additional training has included lucrative summers at Hubbard Street, The Juilliard School, SF Conservatory of Dance, American Ballet Theatre, Springboard Danse Montreal where she worked with Stephan Laks of Goteborg Operans Danskompani and most recently, Axis Connect in NYC with Cherice and Charissa Barton.

As a passionate arts outreach advocate, she volunteered her time and talent to JUNTOS Collective, a non-profit dance outreach organization. During her time as a student at Fordham/Ailey, she accompanied the group on trips to Mexico and Guatemala. From 2016-2017 she joined the team as the Local Director where she oversaw and coordinated multiple outreach events with BFA students in Boston, New York, and the Bay Area. In the summer of 2024, she traveled to Oaxaca, MX with the JUNTOS Youth program and is set to launch JUNTOS XChange by fall 2024.

Furthering her commitment to community engagement, in August 2020, Alicia launched Movimiento LatinXChange , uniting speakers and dance artists of Latin decent on Zoom for a weekend of free and donation based classes fundraising for The Young Center in Chicago.

Alicia is also extremely passionate about arts education and loves teaching. She served as Artistic Coordinator for the 2017 and 2019 Advanced Level Hubbard Street Summer Intensive, a 4-week summer dance program for dancers ages 14-18 held at Columbia College in Chicago. Other teaching credits include Chicago Movement Collective, Skunkworks Dance, and Common Conservatory.

As a producer, she has worked alongside Hubbard Street Dance for their annual Inside/Out program, Para.Mar in their home and touring productions, as well as Gibney Company for Company Created.

Currently, Alicia resides with her family in Charlotte, NC and is a Rehearsal Director for Charlotte Ballet. Alicia is also represented by Go2Talent.

Alicia is available for dancing, teaching, coaching, directing, and producing.
